My Taste
taste is knowing why something works, and saying it in one line. this is the rubric i run on every screen, motion spec and ai output. mine included.
- AI product design
- Motion & interaction
- Design systems
send me something that feels off. i'll tell you why, in one line.
How I
judge
work.
-
Feel before features
if it doesn't land in five seconds, more features won't save it.
-
Context before canvas
a screen without context is decoration. i ask who, when and why before i draw anything.
-
AI shows its work
if the model can't show what it used, people can't trust it. sources, undo and a way out.
-
Cut what doesn't earn
the best feature is often the one you removed. if it doesn't earn its place, it goes.
Same brief, two outputs
mediocre vs exceptional. the rubric, applied.

|---|---|---|
| Feel | five things shouting for attention. | one clear next step, in five seconds. |
| Context | one generic screen for everyone. | knows who you are and what you’re doing. |
| AI shows its work | confident answer. no sources. no undo. | shows what it used. edit, undo, your call. |
| When it’s wrong | keeps going like nothing happened. | says it’s unsure. hands control back. |
| Cut | every feature the roadmap had. | only what earned its place. |
Where I’m different
most designers live in one circle. i work where all three meet. that's where ai slop gets caught.
Founder
i've scoped, cut and shipped with a team of two. waysorted: 1.3k+ organic users, 8.2 nps, zero paid acquisition.
Designer
5+ years in ui/ux. b.des interaction design, usdi ggsipu. i build token-based systems, not just use them. still the one who notices the 2px.
AI-native
i design the behavior, not just the screen. context, trust, failure states, handoff to humans. and i can say why one output beats the other.
